<h3 id="threesd">threeSD</h3>
<p><a href="https://github.com/zhaowenlan1779/threeSD">threeSD</a> is a tool written to help import data from your 3DS for Citra more conveniently and it dumps all the needed files with one operaton, meaning you don&rsquo;t need to repeatedly dump your games or system software. If you get new games or DLC, those will need to be dumped again.</p>
<p>Refer to threeSD <a href="https://github.com/zhaowenlan1779/threeSD/wiki/Quickstart-Guide">Quickstart Guide</a> for importing your installed titles, updates, DLCs, save data, extra data, system files, etc. Note that you&rsquo;ll still need a hacked 3DS with GodMode9 to obtain your keys so that threeSD can decrypt the data on your SD card.</p>
<h3 id="godmode9">GodMode9</h3>
<p>With the onset of sighax and boot9strap, the supported method of dumping games and system applications is GodMode9.</p>
<h4 id="required-tools">Required tools</h4>
<ul>
<li><a href="https://github.com/d0k3/GodMode9/releases/latest">Latest version of GodMode9</a></li>
<li>3DS system with <a href="https://3ds.guide/">boot9strap</a></li>
<li>SD card with enough space to hold the dump; 8GB or higher recommended</li>
<li>SD card reader (preferred), or a way to use wireless file transfer</li>
</ul>
<h4 id="instructions">Instructions</h4>
<ol>
<li>Set up GodMode9 using the quick start guide <a href="https://github.com/d0k3/GodMode9#quick-start-guide">here</a>. boot9strap is recommended.</li>
<li>Put the SD card into the 3DS.</li>
<li>Boot into GodMode9.</li>
</ol>

<li>Press the (HOME) button and select <code>Title manager</code> by pressing (A).</li>
<li>Select <code>[A:] SD CARD</code></li>
<li>Use the D-Pad to navigate to the DLC / update you want to dump. These are usually at the bottom of the search results.</li>
</ol>
<ul>
<li>Quick tip: Using the left and right D-Pad buttons will let you navigate a large list quickly</li>
<li><strong>Updates</strong> - Title ID starts with <code>0004000e</code></li>
<li><strong>DLCs</strong> - Title ID starts with <code>0004008c</code></li>
</ul>

<li>Select the Update/DLC.</li>
<li>Select <code>Manage Title...</code>.</li>
<li>Select <code>Build CIA (standard)</code>.</li>

<li>Once the dump is complete, press (A) to continue.</li>
<li>Hold down (R) and press (START) to power off your 3DS.</li>
<li>Eject the SD card from the 3DS, and insert it in your computer.</li>
<li>Navigate to the <code>gm9/out</code> folder on your SD card.</li>
<li>Identify the title. The format of the file name <a href="https://github.com/d0k3/GodMode9/blob/ebf904a2c2f0d992a58698d09dd78f593db441c9/source/game/gameutil.c#L1853">may be one of the following</a>:</li>
</ol>
<ul>
<li><code> &lt;Title Name&gt; (&lt;Product Code&gt;) (&lt;Region&gt;).cia</code></li>
<li><code>&lt;Title ID&gt; (&lt;Product Code&gt;).cia</code></li>
</ul>
<ol start="15">
<li>Copy the CIA to a folder on your computer.</li>
</ol>
<p>You can now install the Update/DLC to Citra&rsquo;s emulated SD SYSNAND (<code>File &gt; Install CIA...</code>).</p>
<h5 id="there-was-an-error-with-dumping">There was an error with dumping</h5>
<ul>
<li>Make sure you are using the <a href="https://github.com/d0k3/GodMode9/releases/latest">latest version of GodMode9</a>.</li>
<li>Try re-downloading the title from the eShop.</li>
</ul>
<h5 id="citra-does-not-detect-my-dlcs">Citra does not detect my DLCs.</h5>
<ul>
<li>If you do not own all the DLCs for a game, you must use the <a href="https://github.com/d0k3/GodMode9/releases/latest">latest version of GodMode9</a> as previous versions did not dump them correctly.</li>
</ul>
